Pros: - great PCI-E connectivity with a x16 slot, x4 slot, x4 slot and a x1 slot (but your graphics card might block it), as well as the usual NVMe slots. - seems to work OK with 2 CUDIMMs at 8400. - Windows 11 24H2 installed with all hardware working. - great to have 5Gbit/s LAN without an add-in card.
Cons: - Shipped BIOS was buggy and caused system hangs with Windows 11 24H2 - had to upgrade right away. - PCI-E x1 slot nice to have, but is blocked by a typical graphics card/cooler in the first slot. - Initially got a "out of PCIE resources" error with 3 discrete graphics cards installed after the BIOS upgrade. I explicitly disabled the intel integrated graphics and that seemed to fix it. - Did not play nice with a USB switcher (for sharing keyboard + mouse between two systems) that works fine with 2 other systems, saying USB port power exceeded; shutting down in 15 seconds to protect motherboard (or something along those lines) - removed this and no other USB issues noted so far.
