Still works after 2 years.
LibreDrive compatible, works out of the box with MakeMKV and can be flashed using instructions and files from the MakeMKV site to remove what few limitations it has. Fast and silent. It rips a DVD is ten minutes and a Bluray in a half-hour. This is the drive I have been looking for.
I have another LG product similar to this Bluray disk and it has lasted quite along time. this is so far quiet and easy to use. I am glad to have so many options to play different disks on the same player as well as to write on different disks as well. This player blends in with the color of the case I have so you barely see it. It was easy to install and setup in my case.
It works great I'm not sure it will fail with in the 3 years of use.
It just works. Reads and burns CDs, DVDs, and Blu-Ray discs (I'm using Linux Mint 20). Disc type information is molded into the bezel rather than being painted on giving the drive a more elegant appearance (one of the major reasons I chose it).
This is the third bluray drive from pioneer that I have purchased and so far everything runs like it should. Movies, DVDs, and CDs all load quick and play quiet. Also, like with most OEM Pioneer drives this has no white logos on the front, but they are still etched on the black plastic. Personally, this is always a plus for me and it looks very flush with the Corsair 200R case that I purchased to along with a new build. Rips are fairly quick on anything you do. So far very reliable !
