This is not a mechanical keyboard but it feels pretty close to one considering this is still in my opinion a membrane keyboard. It has good weight and also does not flex. (Flexing is not an issue, but lets be real we're all gamer and sometimes we slam the keyboard after dying in our games) Back to the "rage quit slam". This keyboard is durable. None of the keys came off from a slam. MSI advertise that this is also water resistant. Fortunately for me I haven't had to test this claim yet.

I like quiet keyboards instead of mechanical, so this keyboard suits me fine. Back lighting is low and not blinding which is great also. Looks clean and very nice as well.

The msi has brighter leds and looks more vibrant. It is due to the underkey clear plastic allowing the light to shine out. The alternate keys symbols all light up (the blackwidow does not) I like the keystroke on both and the clack is satisfactory on both, overall I like the feel of the msi a little better, but this opinion may change over time. The animations are all entertaining and easy to change and tweak.

Upgraded from an older K55 RGB pro. It not only has the upgrades they advertised about, but also just Feels like more quality keyboard. Keys are nice and soft. The look and feel of the board is just a bar above the K55.

- Simple, one page instructions for setup & keyboard functions - Functions are straight forward - The FN keys have their function displayed on the side of the key toward the user - The keys have a quality feel, in both press and texture - Smooth plastic base makes it easy to clean - Decently long cord to plug into the computer, which isn't aligned to the middle of the base - Very lightweight - Multiple fun lighting options (my favorite is the setting that makes the key light up bright after you press it for a second, then dimming) - The sound of the keypress is very satisfying
