This is the best enclosure that I have come across! I can quickly insert a HDD and it will connect immediately. I can then remove the HDD and insert a SSD and it will connect immediately as well, all at "true" USB 3.0 speed. I purchased 2 of these and both have performed flawlessly for more than a year now, and that includes swapping drives into and out of the case as I see fit. It even comes with the USB 3.0 cable that is just the right length for laptop work. I am purchasing another one, even though the price has gone up 50% simply because they are soooo good to work with as an enclosure.

Looks nice - nondescript without needless lighting. Very nice aluminum shell with plastic end pieces. USB Type C ensures future connectivity, and allows for greater transfer speeds.

Just what I was looking for. Wanting something to put my internal blu-ray drive into to make it portable and this works really well. Has USB 3.0 which is just as fast as e-sata, so it works just as fast as if it were installed in my computer!
