I bought the 2TB version last year to use for image renders, animation creation and video game storage. The drive itself is capable of faster speeds than my older 2.0 compatible MB, so I don't get it's full potential. But it is still very fast, faster than my SATA SSD, and I have no complaints.

Found out that this drive was an SLC drive which is considered an endurance based drive which is good for what I had in mind. I used this in my 11 yr old Macbook Pro 2011 17" to increase the space for my Mac to dual boot with rEFInd so I could also install Kubuntu linux on the back end. I have had absolutely no problems with this drive at the moment. I was also happy that the price of 2 tb SSD Hdd's had fallen to 100.00 mark making such an upgrade more accessible. The speed of the SSD combined with maxed out ram is giving a 20 second boot time for this old Quad Core Intel Macbook Pro.
