This USB KVM does exactly as described. Works great with 3 computers. It is smart enough to know #4 is missing and flips back to #1.

I built my second computer using parts from NewEgg and as a result, I wanted to share keyboard and mouse. I use the inbuilt vga/dvi switch in my monitors to switch video sources since it's cleaner that way. Regardless, I bought this KVM because I have a usb keyboard and mouse. One system is running ubuntu 8.10 64bit and the other 32bit WindowsXP. I plugged it in, and without drivers, everything just worked. You must remember to check when plugging in which input is for mouse and which is for keyboard. Also worth noting, there is now keyboard shortcut for switching sources. You must use the attached switcher and put it on your desk. This KVM is low cost and works. What else can you want.

Worked like a charm. pluged it in and no complaints thus far. all ports are in the back of the switch for easy management.

have other KVM that worked "OK" but always had problems with either the keyboard or Mouse, not working or after a while stopped working. Having a higher 4k refresh is perfect for my dual 34" screens and with enough power because of the powersupply this works nice

I share keyboard, mouse, space pilot and flash drive between 3 different computers. I have had zero problems with this USB switch unlike my experiences with some other ones. The remote button keeps the clutter off of the desk and allows for quick switching between systems. An unintended benefit is the use of a USB flash drive for file sharing. It is much simpler, quicker and safer than the alternatives.
