2 TB on a 2.5" drive only 7mm thick and made by Western Digital! Drive seems fast for a 5400 RPM drive with read operations - I get read speeds nearly 200 MB/s. Small writes are also very quick, probably because of the MASSIVE cache.

works well no issues. I originally put this in a external usb case but after some time moved the drive into my desktop as a storage drive. Large amouth of storage for which at the time was a decent price. Price has dropped some since i bought a year ago.

Good speed.

Looks sleek!

Great Price WD reliability Installed and copied my clone of old hard drive. Booted and ran with no problems

Small and quiet Quick for video recall and streaming / recording Work in my disk enclosure in JBOD /w Storage Spaces.

Works as expected

Bought 2 of these as backup drives for long term storage. Plug them in about once a month to move data off a NAS and some computers. Very fast read/write speeds over USB 3.0. You can't beat the storage capacity for the price and form factor.

Used in a RAID 10 for SQL and these things are really fast and work great

Everything you come to expect from WD... Low failure rates and good prices.

Very reliable drive. Runs cool and quiet.

Seagate FireCuda is a 1/2 tb drive with flash memory, and something you just don't find much anymore. A 5 YEAR WARRANTY! A 5 year warranty mean that Seagate has the up most confidence in its FireCuda lineup. I have been using a Seagate Momentus XT 500 GB 2.5 Inch Solid State Hybrid Drive for 3 years in a low end 2011 laptop. And i really can't tell much difference between the Momentus XT and a SSD. Basically The Seagate Hybrid saves me from buying a new laptop! But after a month of swapping out the Momentus XT with this FireCuda and giving the flash memory a chance to know exactly what i use this laptop for.. I.E ,web browser ans Roku streamer. It is fast ,very fast ..But I can't see an increase over Seagates Momentus XT 500 gb drive. other than bragging "This is a FireCuda" I am more than satisfied that the FireCuda is a subtle upgrade from SSHD drives from previous generations.Tho only slightly. It is not a SSD ,but who wants to put a 500 gb SSD in your families streaming only laptop. To tell the truth , I also have an Alienware laptop and other than playing the latest and greatest games ,there is no difference. This boots Windows 7 in 17 seconds and everything including the internet is ready to go! Hulu,Roku it is up and ready. And you will not get this will a regular platter hard drive!
