This UPS replaced an APC Smart UPS 750 RM 2U - also a rackmount unit. The SRT1000RMXLA adds a super-functional display, power-conditioning capabilities in addition to larger battery capacity/improved runtime.
Great little unit. Worked just fine on my computer, until I upgraded to a monster gaming rig, which is pushing it a bit too much, but for 95% of computer-users, this is all you'll need for superior peace of mind. Has been tested numerous times during electric power failures. No problems at all.
-Keeps my stuff powered on -Provides clean power from my somewhat dirty home outlets -USB connection for monitoring load/outages -Provides more than enough power to keep my gaming desktop and two monitors powered for about 20 minutes during power outages
Wife got this for me for xmas - works great. I have a few of these Cyberpower units, this specific one backs up up my primary gaming / multimedia rig. It's dead silent, and so far haven't had a hiccup at all. Only one or two power blips here, but it kept everything up nice and smooth. Pure Sine wave is a plus.
These when only loaded with vital electronics give you plenty of time to shut them down properly in any power flicker or outage. I have multiple APCBN450M throughout my home for the cable boxes, computers, modems, routers...anythign that needs power until i can properly shut everything down.
Very reliable, good amount of battery for the cost. Currently supporting a entire desk, phones, and two computers, one server, and one mini computer. Two monitors, and a debit machine. Power failures and shorts the like have been avoided with this. Excellent quality and nice form factor.
Great UPS for rating under or at 2400 watts the max for a 20 amp circuit.
Great unit, every so often i get bored and unplug it just so it can switch to battery power and it has done the job well. I have never seen how long it takes to fail but soon I probably will.
Great UPS. I have two of these that run a number of different PCs and servers. I have a generator now so they really only have to keep a load for a few minutes before it kicks on, but prior to that, it ran three servers for a solid 20+ minutes (probably would've lasted longer, but that was enough time for me to gracefully shut everything down)
Rather compact, looks great, works great, ports clearly labeled.
This UPS was a great solution to support networking equipment (modem, router, switch) that I installed in my basement. It has lots of outlets and the size of the unit was perfect for mounting on the network wall panel.
*NIX support for these is great. Was able to setup with FreeBSD quite easily. UPS Fan only runs when system is charging, so it's silent almost all the time.
Silent operation when grid power is on. (Not all UPS's are silent. Some drone all the time.) Fans only come on when grid power goes off. Also, the unit comes with rack mount hardware including a RACK SHELF! Controls are easy to use and graphic display makes sense.
works great, 2nd one i got for another room
Easy setup, easy load on the server. The server interface was easy to setup and provides good information on the status of the UPS. No problems encountered
Simple to use No Bright LEDs
