I love the 900W rating on this unit as it allows my HP LaserJet to be on the battery side and not overdraw the unit like my old APC 1500 did (only 800W I think). Also the 2 front USB ports work nicely for an iPod or Smartphone to charge.
Pure Sine wave Output on Battery. Plenty of battery back up outlets.
Had to replace an 8 year old model Cyberpower unit that had the motherboard die. I have had excellent luck with Cyberpower and this is the first unit I have ever had to replace.
Great backup system. Already had one of these and purchased this for a second PC.
Low budget, inexpensive, effective UPS. Integrates nicely with software for Windows-based PC's
Easy set up for a NAS backup power supply....just plug in and energize.
I bought 3 of these for a business that requested these because of losing power for a few seconds, and having to reboot the system and not interrupting something they was in
I have the base Mid-2011 21.5" iMac. I wanted to protect my investment and my files! The iMac uses an Active PFC power supply so a pure sine wave UPS is required for proper functionality. The USB connection on this unit integrates perfectly with the OSX power save panel. Connect the USB cable and a set of options for automaically shutting down the iMac while being powered by UPS become available. You can adjust to shut down after x minutes or x% of UPS power remaining. I was also concerned about the power draw, and was originally considering a larger unit - but with the iMac and one external drive connected the load is only about 20%, and the estimated battery runtime is about 40 minutes. Checked it by pulling the plug - got the notice on the iMac screen that it's now running on battery and to save your work soon. The display on the unit is very informative and it has a small form factor. For OSX compatibility, price, and performance this UPS can't be beat.
The UPS is small and fits on top of my desk where i can see everything that is happening. Has lots of plugs for everything you need plus two usb ports.
8 Ports, LCD Read out is fairly accurate, Rack Mountable, Good runtime at indicated 60% load.
Works great. Easily sets on/off when attached all attached hardware is going to be OFF. Love the LCD readout. Small footprint. Use with I7/920 12gig and viewsonic 22". Will replace APC900 for old P4 server next. Soon.
Aeeived quickly, plugged it in, and went to work. Solid as a rock. Can daisy chain batteries for extra time.
Contacted Tripp Lite and they sent me a new one, no questions asked. This one is working fine and I must say Tripp Lite customer service is superior to anything I've experienced. Thank you Tripp Lite!
-sufficient backup for high end pc, single monitor and basic accessories. Allows for 7 minutes of battery power before shutting down -simple design, blends in wherever I put it -effective and reliable
The SMC1000C model (600w) may be sufficient for most gaming PC's. Mine is overclocked and uses more power than most so I opted for the SMC1500C (900w) model.
Able to run my gaming computer at max potential with my monitor for 3 minutes or more, enough to withstand a electric blink.
The APC BR700G UPS powered my HP Pavilion Slimline s5150 desktop on battery with no problems, even though the UPS on battery outputs a stepped sine wave. There was a VERY slight buzzing from the PC's power supply, but it is not a problem. Unit looks good, feels good (nice construction), front panel is nice if you want that funtion. AC plug is offset right angle, so it can be plugged into an outlet and you can still use the other receptacle.
Comes with incredibly well written instructions. Software is fully featured and allows for control, same as the LCD menu.
Informs user how much time the UPS could supply power should a power outage occur. Sine wave output to assure proper operation of all equipment and peripherals. Cost effective for what it does.
