Fantastic little motherboard!

GIGABYTE Z690I AORUS ULTRA LITE DDR4 (rev. 1.0) LGA 1700 Intel Z690 SATA 6Gb/s Mini ITX Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE Z690I AORUS ULTRA LITE DDR4 (rev. 1.0) LGA 1700 Intel Z690 SATA 6Gb/s Mini ITX Intel Motherboard

Pros: -cheap -ddr4 -work great with 12th and 13th gen CPU (with bios update) -Nice m.2 storage/heatsink

Cons: -no a lot of DRGB or fan headers -weird tiny pin connector for the case fans/AIO fans, but comes with an adapter

Overall Review: Looks amazing, did custom detailing for a friend and their white esthetic. Everything worked relatively smoothly, was just a bit awkward with the fan adapter for the case fans sadly not a lot of case fan headers so could only use 2 fans and only the CPU fan could use RGB with the one DRGB header I could connect to. Other than that, a nice motherboard with decent I/O

Couldn't even get into bios or post :[

Pros: It Asus!!

Cons: No matter how hard we tried, it wouldn't post.

Overall Review: So I decided to surprise my GF with a new Ryzen system for Christmas! Mostly because she's a ryzen fan girl and I thought it'd be nice to get her the latest and greatest! She was excited to open up her pc parts early and when tested out the pc ... D-RAM light on the motherboard popped up and that's where our issues would start and just ultimately stay. We tried everything! Replacing the PSU with a nicer and better one, changing out the ram and rearranging its configuration, using a new boot drive/m.2, and trying out all its configurations. Changed the case housing to see if maybe there was a grounding issue, re-seating the CPU if we didn't have it right. New CPU cooler to see if that wasn't properly cooling it. Now we're trying our hand at Asus customer service to see if they can take a look at it. But even then it wasn't easy to get someone to help us and even had someone tell us they couldn't help us at all. Surprising since I've only had good customer service myself. We're still waiting for someone to contact us after a week and hope they can help us out.

Pros: It looked really good in my mini itx case! Nice clean cables The connectors clipped together with little hooks that kept them ACTUALLY together instead of that "if you're lucky" set up that some brands have. *cough* evga *cough* even though I like evga's quality. Super quiet!

Cons: Almost like it wasn't working quiet ... It died the moment I plugged it in, only my ram's rgb turned on and nothing else posted. Sadly a bad smell was emanating from it and it clicked everytime I turned it on. Not knowing at the time that was probably that dead psu saving all my hardware as I just kept spamming the on and off button ... probably wasn't the smartest idea, but I wanted to test all my options.

Overall Review: Sadly I can't give a fair review, but still gotta call it out cause this is the first time this has happened to me and I've helped build many pc for friends and family with parts I bought. Can't give a high score for something that didn't work for me the moment I turned it on. And thankfully I had another evga psu on hand to test my parts to see if it was indeed the corsair psu that died. Sadly it was since everything spun up to life instantly as I swapped out the psu's sad day for corsair since I've boughten a lot of their parts.
