Overall Review: WD is a brand you can trust. No matter which serie you chose, Black, Blue, Red or Gold, you can trust it will work for you. The 2 TB Gold I bought was to replace the hard drive of my PVR that failed after 5 years. Im sure the 2 TB Gold will twice outlast the original one. All my computers are equipped with WD hard drive or WD SSD.

Cons: a bit noisy when spinning down (power off)

Overall Review: Bought to replace the hdd of my Cisco dvr; it does the job; will it works longer than the WD Green version? I hope so.
