Very Good Budget Tablet despite MediaTek

Pros: Bought discounted after six years with a great Lenovo Tab 4 8. For use as ereader, browser, light video and travel. (Web research says this Lenovo model is now the Barnes and Noble "Nook" ereader in the USA.) Somewhat larger 9" is still comfortable and light in hand, nicely made with good screen and Dolby sound from speakers, Android 13 working well. The mundane tablet camera supports Android's "full" (not Level 3) camera2 api enabling manual control though not DNG output, enabling better third party camera apps. MicroSD and headphone jack are expectations. Shipping was direct from Lenovo in the USA and extremely quick four days to Toronto via UPS.
Cons: Everything worked out of the box, only confusion was after installing alternative (better) app launchers the three-button navigation icons were pushed to the right in a heavy grey band across the bottom - finally disabling Digital Assistant in the Navigation Settings recentered icons and got rid of the ugly grey band. All fine now. Otherwise, tried hard to find a budget tablet with a Qualcomm chip rather than these underperforming MediaTeks, but 4GB RAM and the G80 Helio are fairly snappy for the price point - the Samsung Tab A9 has a newer G99 chip and would perform a bit better but pricier than I paid.
Overall Review: This Lenovo M9 tablet is currently priced higher than I paid, so I would look at the Samsung Tab A9 more closely than I did, but otherwise strongly recommended.
Good tablet priced right, surprising quick delivery from Lenovo/UPS
Found a choice of sources for delivery, chose Lenovo direct and got the fastest USA to Toronto shipping in my experience, sent via UPS, online tracking was excellent. The M9 tablet worked well at once, and is very serviceable.
