Overall Review: Shipping was reasonably quick, product was packaged to avoid shipping damage. Keyboard worked soon as installed, and now we have a working laptop once again. Hoping quality of the keyboard will last the test of time. The OEM one lasted 2 years.

Pros: Does what is should, change the angle of a dome or similar mounted camera.

Cons: Bit tricky to install since the mounting screws are from behind, whereas the camera housing is from the front. So it's effectively impossible to mount to a enclosed base since there is no way to put screws in from the inside.

Overall Review: A simple angle-adjustment mount that works well for rear-mounted applications. Such as ceiling tile or any other mounting method that you can screw in from behind or inside the mount. It almost feels like the design is backwards. Even the screws suggest the mounting method is opposide to the way it is actually designed. Nonetheless it works with much effort to install they way one would think. One I mounted where the back was accessible, and one was front mounted - a significant challenge.

Overall Review: The DS-7608NI-K2/8P NVR provides 8 POE ports (the /8P) which are independent of the main network so you don't have to worry about using up bandwidth or having a separate POE switch that can handle 8 cameras of bandwidth. I have been using it about 2 weeks and slowly learning about it. Lots to learn, with reasonable but limited clear documentation. Unfortunately this is how everything is now adays - documentation that covers all the functions, but very thin on detail and explaination of how it work. To use the NVR you must install a plugin that does not work with all browsers. Perhaps it would be smart for Hikvision to write their own program that does a better job interfacing with the recorder. Yet the plugin does the trick. Recording playback is adequate, but does not work well, specifically the fast/slow rate did not work at all. While I can adjust the playback speed to max 4 times, it does not actually change the speed, only shows on screen the speed 4x, playing at 1x speed regardless of the setting. It will make it extremely time consuming to scan though recording to find what is needed, when it's needed. Perhaps new firmware will correct this issue one day. I have a 8 year old low quality consumer plastic dome camera that does a better job detecting and recording motion than this system is capable of doing. Perhaps I will eventually find a way to make motion detection it work well. I am on the fence currently about recommending this product to others. I am personally evaluating it to see if we can deploy this at many work sites I manage.

Overall Review: The 2143 is a good quality dome camera, in construction, design and video. Small enough to be easily installed and less obvious to an observer but big enough (well virtually) to have clear video quality. While the night mode uses three IR LED's that glow very red and are very visible at great distance, the night video quality is very good. I would prefer 840nm IR, but that is very difficult to find in surveillance cameras. The green on-board data/power light is more significantly distracting at night. Depending on the orientation of the camera and observer may be drawn to the flashing light. Operating the camera independently is possible via it's own internal webpage and config. For thus device it connects to a Hikvision NVR which allowed plug-and-play operation and configuration.
