A fine addition to older PCs

Pros: This is a use for a PCI slot, whcih is harder to find as the standard fades further into obsolescence. Getting additional USB ports is a fine way to make a leftover PCI slot into something useful in the modern era.
Cons: Since this is a PCI accessory, it won't work on newer motherboards that have dispensed with PCI slots. Its role is for older boards that have PCI slots. The USB ports protrude slightly from the I/O shield, unlike those on some other USB port accessories. I'm not sure what to make of this, but it means they wont' match your existing ports.
Overall Review: PCI-based computer expansions like this aren't especially easy to find, so this was a welcome find indeed. My PC is old enough that I can't access its spare PCIe slots while a graphics card is using one of them, so being able to use the PCI slot for something useful like this was an excellent way to nab some extra USB2.0 ports. If you have a PCI slot you're not using, this is as good a use for it as any.
Nothing really wrong with it, just wrong for me

Pros: This mounting kit appears to be solidly constructed and the provided cables work. It was less expensive than buying just the one part I definitely needed (a 90-degree SATA data cable), so I have no regrets.
Cons: It did not fit in my 3.5" HDD cage and its orientation was wrong for my existing SATA power cable setup. The only part I ended up using was the 90-degree SATA data cable.
Overall Review: If your PC can fit this or you're willing to make it fit, I'm sure it's a fine product. But it was not the one for me.
Easy to install, easy to use

Pros: Samsung's drive is competently constructed and easy to install as long as you have the appropriate SATA cables, which are not included. The real start of the show is Samsung's disc migration and maintenance programs, which are free downloads and make cloning your old hard drive onto your new SSD a painless cinch. This SSD is completely silent while in operation in addition to being much faster than a hard drive, so I have no regrets.
Cons: - Did not come with SATA cables, necessitating additional purchase. - Not an M.2 drive, so the full speed advantages of SSDs cannot be realized here. - Provided installation instructions do not correspond to the actual installation procedure.
Overall Review: A solid choice for people unable or unwilling to fuss with M.2. I am glad this was my first brush with installing a PC upgrade myself.
A solid lower-cost option
This seller operates well and I have no complaints. I could have done without the glowing line on the side of the mouse, but tolerating that means a lower price, so I can live with it. An ergonomic mouse is a game-changer for wrist health and this is a capable example of its kind.
Did the job
I haven't yet figured out how to use the mounting bracket, but the SATA data cable worked and did the important part.
