Smooth update to my PCs

ASUS TUF GAMING B550M-PLUS (Wi-Fi) AMD AM4 (3rd Gen Ryzen) Micro ATX Gaming Motherboard (PCIe 4.0, 2.5Gb LAN, BIOS FlashBack, HDMI 2.1, USB 3.2 Gen 2, Addressable Gen 2 RGB Header and AURA Sync)
ASUS TUF GAMING B550M-PLUS (Wi-Fi) AMD AM4 (3rd Gen Ryzen) Micro ATX Gaming Motherboard (PCIe 4.0, 2.5Gb LAN, BIOS FlashBack, HDMI 2.1, USB 3.2 Gen 2, Addressable Gen 2 RGB Header and AURA Sync)

Pros: The pros of this board are the faster Pcie bus as I have a pcie 4.0 ssd and it is significantly quicker as my PC-Mark scores went up. I like the layout and the Asus utility installed the latest drivers flawlessly as does the wife's laptop. The wifi will be of use when I move my pc away from the bridge.

Cons: The expense of the board compared to previous 450m boards and a possible delay that I'm having with the internet connection when awakened.

Overall Review: I would certainly recommend this board for Ryzen chips that support Pcie 4 as the 570 has a cooling fan and matx boards are almost impossible to find. Please note it doesn't support older Ryzen chips!!!!

A Good Value

ASRock Challenger Arc A380 6GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 ITX Video Card A380 CLI 6G OC
ASRock Challenger Arc A380 6GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 ITX Video Card A380 CLI 6G OC

Pros: Works well with my new intel build and gives decent frames rates in various benchmarks for the money

Cons: The card in my AMD build (not a new install like the intel build) would reboot the machine during Facebook videos and also in some benchmarks. Not usable.

Overall Review: If you can get this card at a good price and you aren't a gamer this card will work nicely in a Intel box. If you have a AMD machine beware.

Best Video Card for Casual Gamer

ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4060 OC Edition 8GB GDDR6 (PCIe 4.0, 8GB GDDR6, DLSS 3, HDMI 2.1a, DisplayPort 1.4a, 2.5-slot design, Axial-tech fan design, 0dB technology) DUAL-RTX4060-O8G
ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4060 OC Edition 8GB GDDR6 (PCIe 4.0, 8GB GDDR6, DLSS 3, HDMI 2.1a, DisplayPort 1.4a, 2.5-slot design, Axial-tech fan design, 0dB technology) DUAL-RTX4060-O8G

Pros: This card is quiet and runs cool and and much quicker than a rtx3050 at similiar power requirements. Asus has a quiet mode for this card which I haven't tested yet.

Cons: May become sold out or cheaper when the competion is out.

Overall Review: If you haven't upgraded for awhile and don't need a powerful graphic card this is got to be the most power efficient card available with the ability to show off some raytracing available now! Thank you Nvidia

Energy Efficient Vidieo Card

GIGABYTE Eagle Radeon RX 6400 4GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 Video Card GV-R64EAGLE-4GD
GIGABYTE Eagle Radeon RX 6400 4GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 Video Card GV-R64EAGLE-4GD

Pros: The card runs quiet and cool. Works well with my AMD Ryzen 5600. Bought this card for a computer that doesn't game and wouldn't be a burden on the AC.

Cons: The Nvidia 1650 is a faster cards for games. This card works best with PCIE 4 processor and will give almost the same performance but not with a processor that has a slower PCIE 3 bus. No dvi connector. Could be cheaper.

Overall Review: Yes if you have the right processor and undemanding games, The dual fans ensure cool quiet operation.

A good last hurrah

AMD Ryzen 5 5600 - Ryzen 5 5000 Series Vermeer (Zen 3) 6-Core 3.5 GHz Socket AM4 65W None Integrated Graphics Desktop Processor - 100-100000927BOX
AMD Ryzen 5 5600 - Ryzen 5 5000 Series Vermeer (Zen 3) 6-Core 3.5 GHz Socket AM4 65W None Integrated Graphics Desktop Processor - 100-100000927BOX

Pros: Has a faster pci-e bus than 5600g so will work with x4 graphics card and ssd

Cons: requires a video card

Overall Review: yes I believe its better than the 5600g unless you don't have a video card

A good upgrade from a 4350G but not so good from a 3300X and Nvidia 1650 with pcie 4x speed

AMD Ryzen 5 5600G - Ryzen 5 5000 G-Series Cezanne (Zen 3) 6-Core 3.9 GHz Socket AM4 65W AMD Radeon Graphics Desktop Processor - 100-100000252BOX
AMD Ryzen 5 5600G - Ryzen 5 5000 G-Series Cezanne (Zen 3) 6-Core 3.9 GHz Socket AM4 65W AMD Radeon Graphics Desktop Processor - 100-100000252BOX

Pros: The 3Dmark scores for gaming are significantly higher than a Ryzen 4350g and the processor speed is better using CpuZ benchmark.

Cons: Needed to install latest radeon graphics driver and my X4 SSD now runs at X3 so some of the PcMark scores are lower than my 3300X. Also I updated to the latest bios.

Overall Review: Yes I would recommend this for the average user that doesn't want to spend big bucks on a video card. If you have a card spend a little more for the 5600X so that you can enjoy the extra speed that a x4 ssd will give you if and when you get one.
