Supporting OpenFlow 1.0 and 1.3 specifications, the JL260A Aruba 2930F 48G 4SFP Switch from Aruba is designed to provide network administrators access to nearly every aspect of the switch including the ability to run experimental protocols. With OpenFlow functionality it is now possible to separate packet forwarding from routing decisions made by the switch resulting in a cleaner flow of data. Along with support for OpenFlow network functionality, this switch supports RIP and Access OSFP Routing, ACLs, and enhanced Quality of Service (QoS) features.

This Aruba Switch comes equipped with support for the Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager. This powerful software gives network administrators the ability to create smart policies designed to handle a variety of networking needs including those posed by the ever-expanding mobile market and the always evolving Internet of Things arena. The ClearPass Policy Manager also allows for device profiling to streamline the task of creating privileges based upon device type, ownership status, or operating system. Once configured, this policy manager provides real-time analytics as well as support for ClearPass Onboard which assists in the configuration of policies implemented to cover devices brought to the workplace by employees.
