To reach high performance in heat dissipation, fast heat absorption and efficient heat dissipation are 2 key points.
- Heat Absorption. Copper Heatpipe + heatsink completely covers the M.2 PCIe SSD, which can ensure the fastest heat absorption
- Heat dissipation: The extra large aluminum body + 4 grooves along the wind direction can ensure that a large amount of heat is quickly dissipated into the air from the aluminum body and then carried out of the PS5 chassis by the circulating wind
5.5mm Copper Heatpipe
- When the M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD is running for a long time, it will generate a lot of heat.
- Since the thermal conductivity of copper is twice that of aluminum, the copper heat pipe can absorb the heat from the M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD more quickly and conduct it to the aluminum heat sink body.
- In order to avoid the gap between the M.2 SSD and the PS5 heat sink (gas gaps can seriously affect the thermal conductivity), it is necessary to place the thermal pad between the M.2 SSD and the PS5 heat sink, the copper heat pipe heat sink can fully contact the M.2 SSD to ensure the thermal conductivity

Installation
- Put the copper standoff into the hole of 2280. Orientation as the picture shown. (Note: this copper standoff acts as a support and keeps the M.2 SSD just level.)
- Tear off the front and rear transparent film of the thermal pad. Then lay it flat on the front of the M.2 SSD. For double-sided chip M.2 SSD, the same steps, put another thermal pad on the back of the M.2 SSD
- Insert the heat sink obliquely into the PS5 slot and fasten it with the long black screw.
