Not only does it support USB 3.0 data transfer rates up to 5 Gbps, but its UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol) feature reduces latency and allows it to perform up to 70% faster when connected to a UASP-enabled host controller.

    You’ll have no worries about using older equipment. The U357-025-UASP accepts SATA III (6 Gbps), SATA II (3 Gbps) and SATA I (1.5 Gbps) drives, whether hard disk or solid state, with a maximum height of 9.5 millimeters. It’s also backward compatible with USB 2.0 (480 Mbps) and USB 1.1 (12 Mbps) transfer speeds. This enclosure is compatible with Windows®, Mac® and Linux operating systems.

    Saves Energy in Hibernation Mode

    After 30 minutes of inactivity, the U357-025-UASP automatically goes to sleep to save energy and wakes up with activity resumes. An LED blinks every three seconds to signal that the unit is in hibernation mode.
