The holes allows air on the knife thus enables the user to perform a more clean, stick-free cut. Made in Japan by Sekiryu. Use only a Japanese whetstone to resharpen edge. Usage & Care: Wash knife with mild soap before or after use. Dry blade thoroughly after washing.
