This clock for bedroom has a built-in battery backup(CR2032) that is only used to save settings in the event of a power outage, but the clock is not powered by this battery. This means that during a power outage, the screen will go blank and no alarm will sound, but once power is restored, the clock will show the correct time.
The commonly used control buttons are conveniently lined up along the top of the radio clock. It is much easier to program alarms and set times when the buttons are on the top vs. on the back. All buttons and dials are clearly labeled with an easily understood icon, and everything is clearly displayed on the screen.
This USB-powered clock can be set to a 12 or 24-hour clock. You can set it to your favored mode as you like. It will automatically save the setting once you have finished setting and no further operation is performed in 3 seconds.
