Supermicro lets you take advantage of the increasing capacities of 3.5" form factor drives with the SYS-5016T-MTFB 1U barebones server system. It is based on the new Super X8STi-F motherboard and can take an Intel Xeon 5500 Series processor. To support all the processing power you can install up to 24GB of ECC/non-ECC unbuffered memory.
The front of the chassis has 4 hot swappable 3.5" drive bays. The motherboard has 6xSATA ports and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10. All these fit into a 1U chassis. The whole thing is powered by a high-efficiency 280W power supply so the system will get all the power that it needs.

Dual Gigabit LANThe Supermicro SYS-5016T-MTFB features dual Intel 82574L Gigabit Ethernet LAN controllers to deliver ultra-fast network connections.
